Unboxing the Canon TR4520 printer

Open the printer box and take the ink cartridges, power cord, setup CD-ROM, and guides out of the box.
Set the box to its sides and pull the printer out of the box.
Remove the orange protective tape seen around the printer.
Open the front cover and remove the protective tape.
Open the ink cartridge access door to remove the orange protective tape and other packing materials.
Close the ink cartridge access door and close the front cover.
Open the document cover and remove any protective tape.
Close the document cover.
Now connect one side of the power cord to the Canon TR4520 printer and the other side to an electrical power socket.

Turn ON the printer if the control panel prompts to install ink.
Open the front cover and open the paper output cover.
Wait until the Fine Ink cartridge holder stops.
Remove the Color Ink cartridge from the package and remove the orange protective tape.
Insert the Color Ink cartridge into the left side of the ink cartridge holder. Push the ink cartridge until it snaps.
Repeat this same process and insert the Black Ink cartridge into the right side of the ink cartridge holder.
Now close the paper output cover and front cover.

Steps to load paper:

Open the front cover, grab the front cover handle, then gently pull the cassette until it stops.
Slide the paper guides to the edges.
Load the paper stack with the print side facing down and push the paper stack till the end.

Turn ON the printer and make sure the printer and your computer are connected to the same network.
Download and install the Easy-PhotoPrint Editor application.
Now open the front door of the printer and pull the cassette until it stops.
Slide both paper guides to the edges.
Load a paper stack with the print side facing down and adjust paper guides to hold the edges of the paper stack.
Now push the cassette into the printer.
Open the output tray and output tray extension.
Go to the computer and click Start > All apps > Canon Utilities > Easy-PhotoPrint Editor.
Click the Photo icon and click Browse to choose the photos from your computer.
Select the photo and click Open.
Now, set the print settings and click Print.

Turn ON your computer and open the default browser.
Go to the Canon official support website.
Enter your printer model name or serial number in the search bar and press the Enter key.
Locate your printer on the next page and click Drivers & Downloads.
Under the Drivers & Downloads option, click the Operating System drop-down box and select the required operating system.
Now click the Language drop-down box and select the preferred language.
Click the Download button near the driver you wish to download.

Download and install the printing and scanning software from the official Canon website.
The IJ Scan Utility is used to scan a document and save it on Windows.
Open the document cover and place the document on the platen.
Align the document to the arrow mark on the edge and close the document cover.
Open the IJ Scan Utility on your computer. Click the Product Name drop-down box and select the Canon TR4520 printer.
Click Settings > Custom Settings.
Under the Custom Settings option, change the settings as required and click OK.
After the basic setting is complete, click Document or Auto to scan the document.
Once the scanning is complete, the scanned document will be saved on the computer.

With the help of IJ Scan Utility Lite, you can send scanned documents by email.
Download and install IJ Scan Utility Lite from the official Canon website.
Make sure the printer and computer are connected to the same network.
Open IJ Scan Utility Lite on the computer.
Open the document cover and place the document on the platen.
Close the document cover.
Now click the Settings button on the app.
Add the email client/address in the Settings (E-mail) dialog box and click OK.
Now click the E-mail button. The scanning starts on the printer and the scanned document is sent to the email client.

Turn ON the Canon TR4520 printer.
Place the printer near an active router.
Press the Settings button on the printer.
On the printer display, you can see the Settings menu.
Under the Setup menu, select Wi-Fi Setup followed by Manual connect and press the OK button.
Wait for few seconds and the printer will search for the nearby wireless routers.
Once your home router is detected on the printer’s display, press OK.
Now type the router password using the printer keypad and press OK.
Wait for few seconds, and the printer displays Connected.
Now the printer is connected to the wireless network successfully.

The Chromebook service has stopped, so you can directly print from Google Drive.
Open the browser and sign in to your Google Drive account.
Make sure the printer and the computer are connected to the same network.
Right-click on the file and click Print.
In another method, open the file on Google Drive and press CTRL + P.
The print dialog box will open; under the Destination, click Change and choose your Canon TR4520 printer.

Turn OFF the printer and connect one end of the supplied telephone cable to the printer line jack near the LINE mark and the other end to the wall jack.
Turn ON the printer.
Press the Setup button on the printer.

Fax Receive Mode:

If you want any advance settings, select Yes. Otherwise, select NO and press the OK button.

If your Canon TR4520 printer never turns up for the print request for your connected computer, you need to troubleshoot the issues at the earliest.

Network Connection Problem:

If the printer often disconnects from the network, check for the error message on the printer's control panel.
If the is no error message, place the printer near the router.
Turn OFF the router and remove the Ethernet cable. Reconnect the cable to the router.
Turn on the router and wait for few seconds.
On the computer, uninstall the existing printer driver and download the latest drivers from the official Canon website.
Double click on the setup file, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the driver installation.

Ink cartridges issue:

If the print quality is low in the Canon TR 4520 printer, open the front cover and open the output cover.
Wait until the cartridge holders stop.
Check if the Fine ink cartridges are properly placed.
If the ink cartridge is not fixed correctly, remove the Fine cartridge.
Again, install the Fine Cartridge into the cartridge holder until it snaps.
Now close the output cover and front cover.
