The Ring Video Doorbell 2 is a security device to monitor the activity outside your home using the camera and digital display to screen the activity that is taking place outside the home. Amazon’s Alexa is a virtual assistant and home speaker powered by artificial intelligence to help the users. You can integrate both these devices using the Ring Skill feature and control the Ring app using the Alexa speaker. Follow the below steps to connect the Ring Video Doorbell 2 and the Alexa device.

Ring app Setup:
- On your keypad, press the Menu button.
- Before you start the setup, make sure to turn on the Wi-Fi router network and note down the network SSID & Password.
- Connect the Ring Video Doorbell 2 and your mobile device to the same wireless network. Navigate to the Google Play Store and download the Ring app.
- If you are using an iPhone, then open the App Store and download the Ring app.
- Open the Ring app, tap Set up a Device.
- Enter the required details in the Name, Phone number, and Region fields. Approve the terms and conditions and tap Continue.
- Next, the My Devices section displays on the screen, scroll left and select Set Up Device.
- Choose your Ring Video Doorbell 2 device from the list of devices.
- Now, you have to name the Ring Video Doorbell 2 device, then set the device location, and continue with the guided process instructions to complete the setup.
- Later, you have to select the wireless network to which the Ring Video Doorbell 2 has to connect under Wi-Fi Setup.
- Following that, enter the Wi-Fi network password to connect the Ring device to the network.
Ring Video Doorbell 2 - Amazon Alexa connection:
- Find and download the Amazon Alexa app from the Google Play Store.
- Then, launch the Alexa app on the mobile phone and tap on the menu icon at the upper left corner of the display.
- Select Skills & Games from the list of menus and touch the search icon at the upper-right corner.
- Search for “Ring” and select the first suggested Ring result.
- Now, tap the Enable to Use button to proceed further.
- The Ring login page opens up on the website, enter the Email and Password to sign in to the Ring account.
- After logging into the Ring account, the Alexa device requests permission to access the account. Now, read the policies and select Authorize.
- When the connection between Ring Video Doorbell and the Amazon Alexa is established, the message appears on display.
- Close the Ring web page and return to the Alexa app settings.
- Select the Discover Devices button at the bottom of the screen and wait until Alexa finds the Ring Video Doorbell device.
- After Alexa finds it, tap Set Up Device, up next, if you want to add the Ring Camera device to a group, select Choose Group or else select Skip.
- When the setup finishes, tap the Done button and then scroll down and select the Your Smart Home Skills menu.
- See if the Ring Video Doorbell 2 device name is present. After that, continue to access the Ring device using your Amazon Alexa.
