Fix: HP Officejet 3830 Not Printing Color

Steps to reinstall the printer drivers

On your Windows computer, click the Start icon and type Control Panel in the search box.

Select Control Panel from the search list.

On the Control Panel screen, click Programs and Features.

Right-click on the HP printer driver and then select Uninstall.

On the User Account Control screen, click Yes.

Follow the instructions to uninstall the printer driver.

Now, remove your printer from your computer. To do so, click Devices and Printers on the Control Panel screen. Then, right-click on the HP printer icon and click Remove Device.

Download the recent printer driver from the Epson official website.

Once the driver download is complete, double-click the downloaded file and install the printer drivers on the computer.

Steps to replace the empty cartridge

Make sure the printer is turned ON.
On the printer control panel, tap on the Ink icon to display the current ink levels.
Check which cartridge level is low or empty. Once you find it out, go ahead to change it.
If the input tray is empty, load a stack of paper.
If the output tray extender is opened, close it and then push it back into the printer.
Open the ink cartridge access door.
Wait until the print head stops moving.

Locate the empty ink cartridge and gently press down the cartridge to release the lock.
Once the lock is released, take the cartridge from the slot.
Unpack the newly bought ink cartridge and remove its protective tapes.
Place the ink cartridge on the slot and push the cartridge until it snaps in its place.
Once the ink cartridge is installed, lower the ink cartridge access door.
Pull the output tray and lift the output tray extender.
Now tap OK to print the alignment page.

Steps to clean the ink cartridge

If the ink gets clogged on the cartridge, you can clean them using the printer control panel. Follow the steps to clean the ink cartridges.

Make sure the printer is turned ON.
Make sure you have enough paper to print.
On the control panel, swipe the display to the left and tap on Setup.
On the next screen, select Tools followed by Clean Cartridges.

Now, the printer starts to clean the cartridge automatically. When prompted, tap OK for the Second-Level Cleaning process.
Once the cleaning is done, try to print a test page and check the print quality.
