Method 1: Check The Ink Cartridge Placement
- Make sure the printer is turned on.
- Open the cartridge access door.
- On the right side of the print head, you will find the black ink cartridge.
- Press the front of the black ink cartridge so you can release it.
- Remove the cartridge from the slot.
- Check if you have the protective tap removed from the cartridge.
- Replace the cartridge if necessary.
- Place the cartridge slowly and make sure it snaps into its place.
Method 2: Bring Printer Online

- Place the paper back into the tray and slide the tray back into the printer.
- Lower the output tray.
Jam From The Print Zone
- Turn off the printer (first).
- Open the cartridge access door.
- Look inside the access door and see if there is any jammed paper inside.
- Lift the paper path cover using the handle; see the jammed paper underneath and gently take it off the printer.
- Reinsert the paper path cover into its place and close the cartridge access door.
